Jmeter is a cute tool for system administrators developed in Java that allows you to test the performance of different pieces of software and hardware: Java complements, servlets, Perl scrpts, databases or FTP servers.

JMeter executes some tests and diagnose if the answers of the different elements are good or not. Execute different tests at once if you think you have test them working together. This multitet option can be really helpful.

It can perform load and performing tests on HTTP and FTP servers. This can be a good choice if you want to prevent crashes and slowdowns.

JMeter includes some examples to analyze FTP, HTTP, JDBC, LDAP, SOAP-XML/RPC and more.
